2020 Word Of The Year

January 1, 2020

Hi all! 2019 has come to a close and I couldn’t be more excited for 2020! 2019 was a year of a lot of change and a lot of exciting moments. I changed schools, changed jobs, got engaged, and am planning a wedding!

Something that I have seen over the last few years has been people choosing a word that they want to focus on for the coming year, a word of the year. The more I thought about it, the more that I realized that I think it suits me more than writing resolutions. I still want to have some resolutions, but if those fade out, I still want to have one word to focus on.

I have struggled a lot this year with managing my schedule. I have had so much on my plate, whether it is school, work, social activities, exercise, my relationship, faith, and my blog. I spent too much time on some aspects of my life and not enough on others. When it came to thinking of a word for this coming year, it came to me very easily.

2020 Word of the Year

My word for 2020 is BALANCE. I want to take this year and focus on balancing all different aspects of my life. I want to allocate more of my time to the most important aspects of my life and take away time in the less important parts. I want to focus more of my time on my relationships, school and my blog. I want to focus less time on my phone aimlessly scrolling and on things that don’t bring me happiness. I want to spend more time exercising, whether it be at the gym or outdoors with friends.

When it comes to wedding planning, I am constantly thinking of little and big things that have to get done. Another thing I want to balance is to take a step back when I’m with Grant and realize that we don’t always need to be planning

I hope that you can think of a word of the year or a resolution to help you say on track for this new year! I hope that this year brings you peace, happiness, success, and good health! I have a feeling that 2020 is going to be my best year yet!
